K-pop boy band with Vietnamese member wins big at Hanteo Music Awards
K-pop group TEMPEST with its Vietnamese member Hanbin won three categories at the 2022 Hanteo Music Awards in Seoul.
TEMPEST, a rookie group, surprised the event on Saturday evening at Jamsil Gymnasium with victories in three categories: Rookie of the Year (for male artists), Global Artist (China region) and Global Artist (Japan region).
The group was among the artists with the most wins at the event. It also impressed the audience with its energetic performances. The group made the stage explode when covering BIGBANG’s hit “Fantastic Baby.”
TEMPEST, managed by Yuehua Entertainment, debut in March 2022 and is considered one of the most notable K-pop rookies of last year. The group consists of seven talented members: Hanbin, Ahn Hyeong Seop, Koo Bon-hyuk, Lee Eui-woong, Hwa Rang, Eun Chan and Kim Tae-rae.
Nearly a year after their debut, TEMPEST has won awards such as the Genie Music Awards, Asia Artist Award, Seoul Music Awards and most recently the Hanteo Music Awards.
